That Seaweed Smells Like Poop!

This is what Enzo was saying repeatedly when we were down at the water this morning. He is too cute. Today was a beautiful winter day. The sun was shining, it was still cold, reminding me that winter has only begun, but it was pretty. I love sun!

PS
What happened to my baby?!?!?!?! I feel like someone switched him out and gave me a big boy.

Christmas 2009

It seemed like Christmas came and left, in a flash. It left behind empty boxes from opened presents. It left behind lots of smiles from one appreciative little boy. It left behind a corner of chaos in our home from all the new gifts that need to find a spot. It also left behind emptiness... Yes, emptiness. There is so much anticipation built up for this grand holiday. And then it comes; Excitement, joy, anticipation...so many feelings bubbling, overflowing. And then it's over. Release. I wish it could last several days. But I guess we would be totally exhausted by the end of it. However, we usually are totally exhausted by the end of it. What am I talking about?!?! I guess, all I want to say is, I miss Christmas, already!

The feeling of embarking on a New Year has fully begun and hope for spring is filling my bones. Time flies!

Here's some pics of our Christmas holiday spent with the Wettergren's and Melkersson's.

snowy days.

It has snowed, and snowed and snowed here. And once it stopped blowing it was nice to be out in the snow. We've played, and played and played and rolled around in the snow. We've had a blast. In Malmö's biggest park there is a hill which all the kids seem to go down, on sleds, when the snow has hit and settled. Enzo loved it. He even dared to go twice by himself. The end result ended in tears but he dared to do it to begin with...that's what counts, right? Otherwise we rode down together. It was fun and then it became very cold and time for us to go home, have lunch and warm up. We'll see if the snow sticks around to give us a white Christmas, hopefully not making it impossible for us to travel to Karlskrona tomorrow.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

It's that time of year again and like last year I did not send out Christmas cards. Honestly, not sending Christmas cards was not by choice but last year we were REALLY busy with moving. Remember? And this year we were really busy with moving AGAIN plus me studying for big exams, ugh! So, unfortunately, and to much sadness we are not sending out Christmas cards but here is our internet card to you!

2009 was quite the journey. We spent most of the year in the states and that was truly a journey. We are grateful for wonderful family and friends who made such a huge, difficult move rather easy and comfortable! We miss you all! And now we are back in Sweden, what a year, and are thankful for all the many blessings we have received throughout the year.

Enzo will soon be 3 years old, crazy! He talks, and talks, and talks. If you aren't careful he can talk your head off. We are grateful for his chatterness but sometimes a mute button would be nice. Did I just say that out loud?!?! He is potty trained and just about has the pooping thing completely down.

He is quite the helper, he "CAN" and wants to do everything. He is also an entertainer. Anything that might resemble a stage or a platform he must get up there and perform. I think just about everyday we have some sort of band going on. He delegates who is going to play which instrument and we just follow suit. He loves listening to Hannah Montana, "Party in the USA", Hillsong "Let the Redeemed" and Twisted Sisters, "We're not gonna take it". What a mix, I know.
He loves all things that go, especially busses. They amaze him everytime. He loves big trucks and cranes and this year he is hoping santa brings him a BIG airplane.

We are excited for what 2010 has in store for us. I know it will be a wonderful year. We are expecting a new addition in July which has us all excited. Not sure if Enzo fully understands what it means that we are going to have a baby but he has truly been a sweetheart about it already.

Well, I think that is all from us, for now. I am sure I could write more but the couch is calling my name. With that said...

Merry Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our home to yours!

Getting In The Christmas Spirit

I love the Christmas holiday. This year we put up a tree together as a family. We didn't get to do that last year since we were in transition. And this year we have snow. Snow is really nice but the fact that it's so cold bums me out! Cousin Devin just read online that "it's 27 degrees but it feels like 13 degrees"...YIKES! It's impossible not to freeze your little tush off!

Yes, Devin is here visiting us. Well, let's be honest...he came to Scandinavia for work but stayed longer to spend time with us...cool! We are so happy to have him here. Unfortunately I was studying all week for a test which I had today but now I am free. Christmas break here I come!! Btw, I passed my last test, the big one I had. Talk about being elated!

Oh, snowy days!

The boys talking and drinking beer.

Devin had Enzo trapped, he didn't like that.

We Became Godparents

Much to our surprise some really good friends of ours here asked us to be Godparents to their little daughter Liv. We immediately replied with yes. We felt so honored that they asked us. What a duty! About 3 weeks ago, she was baptised and it was a really nice ceremony.

Our Gingerbread Man

Here in Sweden they celebrate St. Lucia Day (an Italian Holiday from the beginning), which is on December 13th. Enzo's school celebrated it last friday. We went with great anticipation and we waited for about 15 minutes for the kiddies to come out and sing. They did and 4minutes later it was over. And poor little Enzo along with the other small children were placed behind the bigger kids. Not really sure what they were thinking but nonetheless Enzo has officially participated in his first school "activity", we'll say activity for a lack of a better word.

A Work In Progress!

Yes! We've moved! We've moved into a much bigger place. A place we all love. But before I start to talk about that, let me just recap the weeks which have gone by.

I had a major exam (at least I thought it was major) on Nov 27th. I studied my butt off for 3weeks. I was wiped out by the time the exam was over. I went home after the test and my brain was like mush!

That Saturday, the 28th, we celebrated Thanksgiving. We celebrated with some of our good friends here and I cooked all the food. How I managed still amazes me as I was literally exhausted still from all the studying. The food turned out great, at least that's what everyone said, myself included!

Two days after our Thanksgiving celebration we moved. It was crazy. Mattias was awesome! A real trooper! He had packed up most of our stuff the days before. He moved all of our stuff within 3days and did it with very little help! Not only did he move all of our stuff but he built up all the new stuff we purchased to give us a home as quickly as possible! I love my handy man!

So, we're moved in. Have the basics in order but still have a lot of unpacking to do, organizing, decorating etc. But I do want to share some pics with those of you who may be curious to see where we live now.

ps.
This year has been quite a crazy ride for us and God has been with us every step of the way, blessing us every step we've taken! We're Thankful!!
