A Relaxed Sunday Afternoon

Last Sunday we had no agenda and just took the day as it came. It was nice. Relaxing.
Despite cloudy weather we headed to a beach town south of Malmoe called Falsterbo. Peaceful. It reminded me of our time spent at Seabrook.

Aleksander Is A Month Old

Aleksander turned one month old yesterday. Time goes way too fast. I can't believe it was a month ago that I gave birth to the little guy. He is my sweet baby.

He weighs a little over 10 pounds. He can hold his head up. He enjoys water/taking a bath. He likes having tummy time. He enjoys sleeping in the stroller. And most of all he loves being snuggled up on his mommy. He is also very observant just like his big brother was as a baby.
He is a rather content baby. For the most part he just sleeps or hangs around and if he is being held you usually don't hear a peep out of him.

We are so thankful for our little blessing and are looking forward to all the great moments ahead!

Cinnamon Rolls

Here are those cinnamon rolls Enzo and I made. They were delish! Got the recipe here.
Yum!!
Enzo enjoying a cinnamon roll for breakfast. Yes, I said breakfast. I know, so unlike me.
ps. In the future I will opt out of having lime in the frosting. Just stick to the classic, old fashion cream cheese frosting.

Grandad, Nana and Auntie Grace Came To Sweden

Crazy! We have had our first visitors of the summer. We have been pumped this year because family is actually coming to visit us here in Sweden. We were graced with the presence of the Alexander family. We had a blast with them. It was an intense visit since they were here for only a week but we had a blast. Sweden was at it's finest, the weather was fabulous! We loved that they were so prepared to absorb everything that Sweden has to offer. They came packed with their walking shoes and we walked. Many of days we were out for over 7hrs. They were troopers and there is no better way to experience a city than to walk it. We walked through Malmö's many parks, we walked the walking street, we walked down the beach, we took a boat ride through Malmö and went under 21 bridges. They shopped. Seen the hospital where Aleksander was born and where my school is. They ate some Swedish cuisine. It was awesome. And lastly, we spent a day in our neighboring city, Copenhagen.

Here are some pics of their visit.

ps
Do I even need to mention that my kiddos were awesome. Enzo went 7 out of 8 days without a nap. Aleksander was a trooper and tagged along in all his newness. Unfortunately due to the heat and him loving to snuggle with his mommy he has gotten a heat rash on his cheeks and back but he has yet to complain. After they left we took a few days at home to recoop...aka. nice LONG naps, I am talking over 2hr naps and home time. Yesterday I managed to make a batch of waffles, two batches of pizza dough and homemade cinnamon rolls!

Getting ready to walk through Pildammspark.

On the walking street.Auntie Grace sees her name and poses with Enzo. By the canal.
Trying out the water. Beach 2010 Enzo stoked about going on the boat ride. The Alexander's.

Pizza night...we showed them how we get done on pizza night. They loved it.
Ready to cruise.

Enzo showing Granddad the Pacifier (Tutte) tree.
We went to the Nelson Mandela Exhibition at the museum.

Nana mixing in with the crowd.
Grace, Scott and I with Aleksander snuggling me. Just got my hair done...thanks Scott. You like?

In Copenhagen, waiting for the shuttle to the hotel. Ready to explore Copenhagen.

Enzo showing off his muscles. He is SO strong!
Riding the carousel with Nana at Tivoli Copenhagen.
At HardRock Café. Pooped after another long day in the heat and liveliness in Cph. (Is liveliness a word?)

Nana trying to cool off Aleksander. Poor thing, he has been roasting in this heat wave.

Nana spending QT with Enzo. This is the night before the left.

A 10 pounder!

Our baby boy Aleksander is growing. On Wednesday he weighed in at a little more than 10lbs. Love it! There is more of him to kiss and love! It's all happening so fast. In no time he will be like his big brother...oh, how I dread how quickly time passes!
My sweet baby.

Brotherly Love!

Enzo loves his big brother and he jumps at the opportunity to kiss, hug and hold his baby brother. Love it! This rocks!

Me And My Boys. My Family!

Proud big brother.

My boys sweating in the heat. Who does Aleksander look like?

Family photo op in Karlskrona.

My new life has been nice, challenging but nice. Just wish there was more time in the day to share and give enough love to each of my boys. I try and I hopefully do my best!

My Retro Baby

I love the retro prints and the retro clothing they have for babies these days. Isn't he cute?!?!

Nursing

Enzo has been seeing a lot nursing these past days and has decided that Elmo needs to nurse too.

10 Days Of Breast Milk

This little bundle of awesomeness is growing and growing. I have been just as worried about nursing as I was the first time with Enzo but once again my midwife reassured me, there is no room for worrying when this guy is growing. He gained almost a pound in 10 days just like his big brother did. Now he is coming in at 9lbs and I am sure that has gone up after this weekend since it was a scorcher of a weekend plus we spent the weekend at my in-laws which was all so new for Aleksander. So, all he wanted was the boob and to cuddle in my arms. I obliged and for that I am sure he has put on another half a pound. Nothing better than a chunky baby!

ps. these pics don't show the weight he has put on but it does show my peaceful baby. Why can't we adults relax like babies do???

My New Life

Things have been grand on this side of the Atlantic. We've been adjusting well to our transformation to a family of four. Enzo is absolutely in love with his baby brother. Not sure if this is just the honeymoon phase or if it will continue. Nonetheless, I love it. From a rather young age Enzo has always shown love for babies. Must get it from his mother.

Aleksander has been a joy to watch and observe. So far I can say one thing, his tempermant is much different than his brother's. Around Aleksander's age, Enzo was fussy, or unsatisfied with different situations, such as being in the stroller, sitting in his car seat etc. Aleksander just cruises along, it's nice. Aleksander can even sit in his babysitter/bouncy seat awake and just observe the environment around him. I know it's not even two weeks into the game yet but he seems a lot calmer. Hope it lasts.

Mattias has been home on paternity leave for almost two weeks now. It's been nice. Him and Enzo have had a little extra quality time together which I think has made the transition for Enzo a lot easier. I was a bit nervous on how things would turn out since Enzo is a mamma's boy but like I said before it has gone really well and he has actually been rather understanding to my need to nurse Aleksander, all the time.

I have been feeling great. I swear I don't feel like I just had a baby. It's absolutely AMAZING! I have been eager to work out but hesitant too just in case my body isn't ready. But I think it is. So, in my effort to begin I have started going on brisk walks with hopes of running next week.

Anywho, here's some pics of the week gone by.
Enzo with the swimming ring he got from his friend Emme. He thought it would be cozy to sleep like this and he sure did fall asleep.

A playdate with his buddy Emme.

Our morning walk.
An afternoon walk.

My husband being creative...AGAIN!
Making Enzo a house like the fort he made last year.
