Left Home Without A Camera...What Was I Thinking?
So, we were invited to go to a cabin this past weekend with our friends the
Brightlings. We gladly jumped on the opportunity to get away, take a mini vacation. On Saturday morning, we met them at
Seabrook. When we pulled up to this beachtown community our jaws dropped. We thought we were just going to a cabin near the beach but NO...we went to a beachtown community. It was heaven on earth...perfect in everyway. Picture perfect, literally and I forgot the darn camera. I was so upset with myself! We were in this great place unable to capture the memories. Fortunately mamma Brightling brought her cameras so we will be waiting patiently for her to send over the pics. Until then, go and check out the website, you can get a little taste of what our weekend was like.
They had bikes you could use, just go by and pick one up. There was a cafe and a grocer. All the essentials you need were right there, within yards, didn't need to hop in your car and drive anywhere for the whole weekend. There were firepits set up, playgrounds, a park. Kids running around free without a care in the world and everyone respecting each other. It was like one big family. The owner even hooked us up with a carriage house because he thought we could use more room instead of both families living in the cottage. (We were all living in a 2 bedroom cottage which was the small carriage house to the main house.) We gladly accepted his offer. This trip was insanely wonderful, I am not kidding you. I was very disappointed when it was time to go. I tried and tried to persuade mamma Brightling that we ladies should stay a few more days. But my persuasion was in vain.
To make a long story short, the trip was great. Enzo, Ian and Hannah had a great time together. They were the three musketeers. Us, adults, also enjoyed our time well spent together...playing games, spending 3 hours in the hot tub talking about everything and anything, eating, drinking you name it. As many of you know, it's not always easy finding couples whom you both click with...and we click with the Brightlings. We are very grateful they asked us to join them. I'm ready to plan our next trip.
