Recycle. Reuse. Re-invent. - Accomplished

The other day uncle Al came home with a big box which was going to be thrown away by his neighbor. He thought of his wonderul nephew Enzo and how much he loves forts these days.

So, today, Mattias (upon Enzo's command) built Enzo a fort. It's nothing fancy but I know I couldn't have made it. Well, now that I see the finished product I maybe could have but that's the thing. My hot Swede has the imagination and ability to construct and create, and I love it.

Enzo adored the finished product and at bedtime he begged to sleep in it. We granted his wish and after 30 minutes of him being restless and realizing it wasn't as roomy as his big bed we moved him back into his bed, where he can dream all night about his new fort.

If We Had

Six more kids our family would look like this.

Maybe more girls and fewer boys or all boys, who knows. Not sure if we are daring enough to walk that line and have seven kids...sometimes I think I would love it. First, I think we'll have to have a second one and see how that life is.

I have to be honest though, I do envy the life and excitement they must have in their house. I know it's not easy but the reward at the end of the day must be great! I mean, when you have so many kids you are bound to have one of them like you when they are adults and thus take care of you when you're too old to do so yourself. Not only that, but watching all of them grow up, get married, have kids of their own etc. What a life! To be blessed with so many precious lives is truly a GIFT!

ps
These kids belong to my uncle David and his wife Elisa...minus the little boy with the striped pants, my Enzo, my little rockstar!

He Sleeps And I Can't Get Enough

I find myself visiting him all too often to steal some kisses while he's sleeping. He sleeps, I watch and then I land a big one on his forehead or cheek or I'll even gently leave one on the lips. Sleeping moments are so precious, for all of us. Not only does it mean time for us as a couple but you also find yourself admiring the great work you have created!!

Our First Visitors

Farmor and Lasse will be here soon, April 6th to be exact. They are our very first visitors and we are super excited to see them. It wasn't (so) long since we left but long enough to miss family. We will be blessed with their presence for a whole 3 weeks. I know Enzo will be eating up the attention. I can't wait to see the look on his face when Farmor and Lasse come up the escalator at Seatac. I will make sure to have my camera or video recorder ready.
Friday Night - Movie Night

This was the movie of choice this week. Mattias and I absolutley loved it. Great story, very cute movie. Love Dr. Seuss, he is a genius! Enzo, on the otherhand wasn't too fond of the movie. Think it was a bit over his head...towards the end of the movie he had a very hard time sitting still, it was actually impossible for him to sit still. Nonetheless, it was another movie night, enjoyed by all. I love my family!
ps
Check this movie out!
Amazing...I Love This KID!!!

Absolutely lovable! I know, I am biased but he is truly an amazing, wonderful, charming, adorable, GOOD kid!

Enzo had a dentist appointment on Thursday and it went very smooth but we were not surprised! He was relaxed, opened wide when asked, and smiled big! As you probably know, they didn't do much but talk about mouth hygiene, check his teeth for good spacing (which he has) and put some flouride on those puppies. They adored his teeth, they said they were beautiful! YES! I love nice teeth. I have somewhat of a teeth fetish. Let's just say, I love going to the dentist.

Mattias and I constantly find ourselves in absolute awe over the child we were blessed with. Yes, he is two and he has his toddler fits, but it's all minor, small stuff. Everytime we look at him we say, "boy, I could have a ton of kids if they are all like Enzo." He is truly a blessing from above!
ps
Even the cashier at the grocery store commented on his wonderful demeanor.

Vår Mys

We took a day and just walked around the small neighborhood where we live/staying temporarily. It was nice to see the buds coming on the trees, first signs of spring. Not long until Farmor and Lasse will be here, hopefully spring will be in full bloom by then.

Here are some pics from around the area.

Ballet

On Wednesday this week, Enzo went to ballet. His friend Rachel, does ballet once a week and it was "bring a friend to class day", she wanted to bring Enzo. We gladly went and Enzo had fun. It took him a while to warm up but once he did he enjoyed it. Rachel on the other hand was feeling a bit under the weather so she wasn't enjoying herself as much.
Enzo came home doing the dance moves.

Madagascar 2

Last night we had a debut! We had our very first movie night as a family! All week I was so excited and anxiously waiting for Friday to come. We had homemade pizza for dinner; a spinach, sundried tomato and feta pizza and one parmesan, tomato and onion pizza....very yummy! After dinner, it was time for popcorn, climbing onto the couch and watching Madagascar 2. Enzo was so surprised and excited for us to all be on the couch watching a movie together. It was good fun and the movie is hilarious, can definitely reccommend!

This will become our Friday tradition! I am all about traditions, and since I come from a family who really doesn't have any, I am eager about creating them for my family.
Nothing.

Seriously, I have been so bad or maybe it's tired or maybe it's pure laziness! I am so behind on emailing friends back, keeping in touch and updating this blog of ours. The blog needs to be freshened up and I need to keep people up to date on our comings and goings here in Washington. The crazy but true thing is not much has been going on. So, many days I think about blogging and then realize I would be just forcing out an entry and posting an "everyday" picture of Enzo.

At the same time, Enzo has been growing like crazy! Not necessarily bigger, well he is bigger but he has become crazy... in other words, a wild child! His personality has grown tremendously and there is never a dull moment in his presence. He is absolutely hilarious, which means pure fun! I think I speak for the house when I say he has us laughing hard around here.

In an effort to get things back on track I am going to post a few blogs, all today. Enjoy!

I Want

YOU!

A Drive To Oregon

We went to Portland on Monday. This was the first time I had driven so far south since 2004. It's weird, I used to make that drive at least once a year when I was in college and now it was unfamiliar territory. Not only that, I used to like driving long distances but yesterday told me that not so much a fan of it. I don't know, it could have been the pounding headache I had all day long... I am not going to count out a road trip yet, I'm still willing to hit the pavement again, give it another shot.

Probably wondering why we journeyed down to Portland. It was to pick up this beauty (which does not (unfortuantely) belong to us).

Enzo and Auntie Carmen (the proud new owner).

Who does he look like?
