We did meet the Briere clan one last time as we took Enzo and Rachel to the movies to see Rio in 3D. Enzo loved it. Rachel not so much. She actually said at one point that she thought it was boring but I think that was her tiredness talking or maybe it was boring to her. Nonetheless, Enzo enjoyed his time spent with Rachel and Garrett. Thank God Katey had Thursdays off otherwise we probably wouldn't have gotten to see each other so often. Thanks Katey for reserving Thursdays for us. We loved our time together.

Another Briere Playdate!
This was pretty much our last playdate with the Briere's before heading back to St. Louis. We met at Wright Park, where they have installed a new, fabulous playground.
What's up with girls and babies. I swear everytime Rachel or any of Enzo's girl friends see Aleksander they are all over him, oohing and ahhing! Is it really an innate behavior?!?!
Us mothers deep in mommy talk... or maybe we're comparing shoes.

Tiger Mountain Summit 3
We decided to venture out in the nature. Washington is full of outdoorsy activities and the nature here is breathtaking. The beauty of this great state makes any "normal" person eager to partake in all it has to offer. So, we together with the Briere's gathered our crew and ventured to the Issaquah Alps, Tiger Mountain.
Side note: although there are no pictures of Mattias, he was with us. He was the photographer that day. Sorry babe!
The kids all strapped in and ready to go.
Aleksander ready, pacifier in mouth in an attempt to get him to take his morning nap which was an hour and 30 min overdue. In order to get an early start on the hike we thought we could get him to take his morning nap in the car. Right!!
Mommies ready to go.
We made it!! Surburbia has hit the mountain...Katey with her latte in hand. Aleksander still awake. Of course he fell asleep 10min away from the exit and woke up once we parked the car. So much for a morning nap.
Enzo and Garrett. Those two were two peas in a pod during our adventure. Rachel didn't like that too much.
He's still awake. Little stinker. Kept the pacifier in his mouth in hopes of him dozing off to la-la land.
The kids exploring a rusty old bus.
We originally planned to travel up the mountain hoping to see some amazing sights of seattle but once we got there we decided to take the trail around the lake. Kids like water and we thought that would keep them eager to keep on truckin'.
Lunch time. This came about 25/30min into our walk.

Another Surburbia pic...this is totally inappropriate when you are trying to become one with nature, but someone called me. No cell phones should be allowed unless it's an emergency, right?! I told Mattias he couldn't have a coca-cola while we were out in the woods and here I am accepting a call. Well, I had my uncle's cell phone that day just in case we needed to get in touch with someone or someone needed to get in touch with us.
Side note: although there are no pictures of Mattias, he was with us. He was the photographer that day. Sorry babe!

Playdate With The Brieres
Finally we got together with one of my best friends here, Katey and her kiddies. We went to their house and had a playdate. When we were here in 2009 we would get together with them all the time and once again Enzo didn't remember them at all. It took him a moment to warm up and once he did they were buddies again. They had a blast together and Katey and I did too as we got to chat and hang out.
